Julia Lamberti is an accomplished live performer, songwriter and recording artist whose first loves are jazz and blues. Influenced by timeless voices like Natalie Cole, Nina Simone, Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones, she delivers an eclectic sound that crosses genres with elegance and soul.
She has performed at most major live music and corporate venues in Gauteng, featured internationally at the MIDEM Festival in Cannes, and shared the bill with global icons at the prestigious 2007 Standard Bank Joy of Jazz Festival. Julia’s solo career includes a debut album with South Africa’s top musicians, television and radio appearances, and award-winning singles recognised at the 2022 Afri-Indie Awards and the World Songwriting Awards.
Julia Lamberti Quartet
As lead vocalist of the Julia Lamberti Quartet-a diverse ensemble blending jazz, Afro-jazz, funk, soul and R&B- she has headlined premier venues, entertained blue-chip clients, and performed at landmark events such as the SSCN Africa Awards, broadcast live on SABC Sport. Corporate clients have included Eskom, Sasol, Microsoft, Coca-Cola International, Porsche South Africa, Nedbank, Standard Bank, Absa and Veuve Clicquot. The Quartet also contributed an original song to Voices of OR: A Musical Tribute to Oliver Tambo, working under the musical direction of the late Gloria Bosman and produced by McCoy Mrubata.
Julia is currently working on new music to be released in late 2025, staying true to her passion for soulful storytelling and expression through song.
